Pennsbury School District Residencies for 2011-2012
in partnership with the Pennsbury Partners Program

For the 2011-2012 school year, an assembly performance of “Ball in the House”, a five-man a cappella band from Boston will be presented at Eleanor Roosevelt Elementary School in November.   They were a huge hit on the concert series last year.

In addition, the Bucks County Performing Arts Center (BCPAC), is presenting the Motyl Chamber Ensemble on the concert series in November.  They are performing “Beautiful Music Rescued during the Holocaust”. The ensemble consists of 4 young women from New York City, who are devoting their music making to performing beautiful music rescued by composers, whose lives were cut short or radically transformed by the Holocaust.  BCPAC is working on bringing the ensemble into Social Studies Classes studying the Holocaust.

Finally,  Allen Krantz, a classical guitarist, who will be performing “Guitar Music from Around the World” on the concert series in February, has a wide repertoire of music that goes from the Renaissance to the present.  He will be conducting programs geared to what students are studying in their Social Studies classes.
